Specialised Small Group Dementia Homes

COMING SOON

Do you have a loved one living with dementia?

Are you a care worker or health professional in the aged care industry?

WE'D LOVE YOUR INPUT.

We're working on a new model to provide an alternative care solution for people living with dementia and their families.

Our goal is to deliver small group dementia housing or 'memory care homes' with personalised, specialist care as an alternative to larger aged care facilities.

Located in suburban Brisbane areas, our homes will look like regular residential homes and include individual resident bedrooms, living spaces and a separate carer’s room to provide 24/7 care to residents.

We'd love your input.

During February and March we’re seeking feedback from family members and people in the aged care sector to help us finalise our care model, product offering, house designs and inclusions.

We want to ensure we deliver homes and care that offer safety, security, comfort and functionality.

If you’re interested in participating in one of our upcoming focus groups or would like to stay informed about our upcoming projects, please register your interest.

Why small group dementia homes?

There are currently 433,000 Australians living with dementia.

Care options for people living with dementia vary depending on the level of support required.

When it’s no longer safe for someone to live in their own home, they may need to consider moving somewhere that provides ongoing 24/7 care.

Currently, the main option for this level of care is a larger residential aged care facility, many of which have long waiting lists.

With demand for dementia care high and growing, our goal is to provide an alternative to larger facilities by creating individual residential homes designed especially for a small number of residents.

Our homes will offer a friendly, homely environment with personalised, tailored care.

Better outcomes.

Small group memory care homes offer a myriad of benefits for people living with dementia and their families.

  • Home environment – a quiet, calm, predictable and homelike environment minimises confusion with familiar smells and soft lighting.
  • Resident independence - residents can participate in daily chores including cooking, gardening, washing and other household tasks.
  • Positive family experience – the visiting environment is pleasant and homely for families with an open visiting culture
  • Outdoor access – residents can easily access and enjoy secure outdoor spaces.
  • Healthy home cooked meals – Meals are home cooked in a domestic kitchen and tailored to resident tastes and needs.
